Cross country banners

The client for this project was Stafford High School's Cross Country Team. The coach asked that I design senior banners (2x4 feet) for the school to display. She provided me with photos of twelve students and asked that I use the school's colors: blue and gold.

I knew little to nothing about sports posters, so I had to look at a lot of them before beginning. I looked at past versions from the high school team, versions on Pinterest, and versions that designers are selling on the internet. It really helped me get a good idea of how a senior poster should be laid out.

To this day, I design the banners for the SHS cross country team! Some of the versions pictured below never made it to print as they were options for the coach to choose from. However, the majority were finalized, printed, and hung on display at SHS.

One thing I'm very proud of in this project is my ability to create new and diverse options every year. Sometimes I end up loving one of the versions that isn't picked even more than the final!
